Lower floodplain of point bar is a sycamore-ash-elm floodplain forest. Rivers edge include sycamore-river birch woodland varients and a prairie community along the rapids zone.;Occasionally flooded forest with very large black oak over silver bell. Cobbles loaded on the upstream side of the larger trees. Cobble alluvium with undulating channels running parallel with river. Plot is quite close to the river but up a fairly steep bank along a stretch of rapids. The plot is very close to the high point on the "island".
